“Our private 14-day tour was amazing! It was a good mix of easy hikes to tribal villages, visiting markets and temples, observing artisans at work on their ancient crafts, beach, and driving through jungles learning about plants and animals.
We were well taken care of by our fantastic guide, Prashant. He is the best guide that we have ever had! He made sure that all our needs and desires were taken care of. He checked our rooms in the hotels to make sure that everything was in good shape, explained the menu and made sure that the food would be prepared to our liking. He made special requests so we would always have fruit and yogurt for breakfast. I was amazed at the wonderful photographs that I was able to take! It was all due to Prashant’s knowledge of the tribal language and his good relationships with the tribes. He had friends everywhere which allowed us to mingle and to experience their lifestyle. The people were all very friendly and honest. I didn’t realize until hours and many miles later that I had forgotten the purchase that I had made at a tribal market. Would you believe that several days later when we were driving back through the area my package was returned to me? It was all due to Prashant’s people skills and relationships with the tribes. Prashant was a wealth of knowledge in culture, customs, religions,architecutre, art, and history.
He helped us to understand Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism and even explained all the intricate carvings on the temples. He was also extremely friendly, warm, kind, thoughtful, respectful, and sensitive to every person. Traveling to Odisha is truly an adventure and experience of a lifetime that I will never forget. It is a special place where time has stood still. I highly recommend Prashant and this tour.”
““Some information following my return from my expedition in India. This last one was crowned with success thanks, it is necessary to say it to the two teams guide-driver who were put at my disposal by Abercrombie. It is a truly exceptional agency and I would like to thank them for the absolutely exemplary quality of the services they provided me with. This is the first time I have benefited from such a high level of service, and the challenges involved have been particularly complex. At the end of the day I would give the guide my detailed programme for the next day with satellite views of the sites I thought I would visit and in the evening the guide would ask for additional information to suggest possible modifications or additions the following morning. The most problematic place was around Kharagpur and the results obtained were fantastic (thanks to a bit of luck, but you also have to make it up). And if by chance there was a little too much time left at the end of the day, I was regularly offered the unexpected visit of a site that could interest me.
